New Therapy Laser

Claremont Animal Hospital is happy to announce the addition of a new Therapy Laser! Laser therapy can be beneficial for numerous acute and chronic conditions that affect pets both large and small.  Laser therapy helps promote healing by using different wave lengths of light to increase blood flow, decrease inflammation, and decrease pain.  Laser therapy can be used on a variety of different disease processes listed below.

Dogs and Cats:

  • Wounds/edema
  • Ear infections
  • Perianal fistulas
  • Anal glands
  • Arthritis/back pain
  • Cystitis (bladder inflammation)
  • Granulomas
  • Post-surgical pain

  • Tendonitis
  • Edema
  • Wounds
  • Laminitis
  • Navicular disease
  • Arthritis
  • Spinal/saddle pain

In some animals relief can be seen after just one treatment! Studies have shown that using laser for long term arthritis patients has resulted in a decrease in number of animals on daily medications, and 60% of patients were able to stop pain medications all together.  Feel free to ask any of our staff if you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment.
